ABOUT MELISSA
Melissa has been working in the theatre industry for several years in the MSP/St. Paul area. Currently she is the Managing Director for Bloomington Civic Theatre. She loves to travel together with Bryan and his 10 year old son, Jordan.
ABOUT BRYAN
Bryan works for Definity Health as their Internet Technology Manager. Jordan keeps them both busy and has turned into quite the trombone player! He was a key player in the engagement--and the cinematographer!
HOW WE MET
We met by a fluke one evening when we both had alternative plans that fell through--we met up with mutual friends Bill and Jason at First Ave in Minneapolis. We hit it off almost immediately and talked all evening long as if nothing else was going on around us. The rest is history!

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bryan, Melissa and Jordan went to Bismarck for the holiday a little early to celebrate with her family. When there Bryan had a plan to surprise her at the Big Boy. The Big Boy just celebrated its 50th anniversary as a drive thru in Bismarck. It is a local hot spot and everyone who comes to town stops by to get a pizza burger flying saucer style. Which is just what Melissa and her family did on the afternoon of Dec. 22nd. She ordered pizza burgers (their signature item) and were told they were out--Melissa said, "Okay..." and ordered 3 medium diet vanilla cokes. The drive thru attendant repeated the order wrong again and again. Finally she asked if she could just drive up and directly place the order at the window. The attendant then replied that it was his first time and that he normally did computer work by day but that she should drive up and discuss the order. It turned out that Bryan was the drive thru attendant and it finially sunk in. Melissa suspected something was up when Bryan came around the side of the building followed by Jordan on video. He opened the door and had to get Melissa out of the car. She was in total shock. He escorted her to the Big Boy statue and proposed. It's a special place for us now and forever.
